A useful growing guide explains what to do, why it matters, where its numbers came from and when they stop applying.
Sources and numerical claims.
We prefer original research, extension publications, technical manuals and product labels. References describe which claims they support. A manufacturer can document its own product; that does not establish superiority over products we have not tested.
Mixing examples identify final solution volume, units and product analysis. Fish and crop ranges retain their species, growth stage and system context. An EC-derived “ppm” reading is distinguished from elemental concentration. Original arithmetic and planning assumptions are identified as examples.
Review status and authorship.
These are independently maintained teaching publications. We do not claim that a credentialed agronomist, aquaculture professional or source organization has reviewed all the material. Independent specialist review is pending. Editorial text, models and software can be developed with AI assistance; generated material is not evidence. Linked source material and explicit assumptions are the basis for assessing a claim.
Automated software checks test equations, page rendering and interactions. They do not validate animal health, crop performance or suitability for a particular installation.
Comparisons and shopping links.
Selection guides compare published specifications, maintenance needs and operating constraints. Unless a page explicitly documents a real test, with its method and conditions, it should be read as a specification guide rather than a hands-on product review.
We label paid placements and explain potential commissions next to shopping links. We do not sell positive reviews, scientific conclusions, guaranteed search rankings or undisclosed links. Sponsorship does not give an advertiser control over a chapter’s recommendations.
Corrections and updates.
If a number, source, calculation or procedure appears wrong, send the page URL, the specific passage and the evidence for a correction. Reports are saved privately for publisher review. A report is not automatically published, and we cannot promise an immediate response.
Substantive content revisions update the page’s publication metadata and sitemap modification date. A date change alone does not mean a complete specialist review took place.
